Mullen Automotive receives $200 million purchase order for 6,000 EV cargo vans from Randy Marion Automotive Group

Electric vehicle manufacturer Mullen Automotive has announced that it has received a purchase order from the Randy Marion Automotive Group for 6,000 Class 1 EV cargo vans. The transaction, valued at approximately $200 million, marks the first commercial deal for Mullen and signifies strong confidence in the company.

Randy Marion Isuzu, a division of the Randy Marion Automotive Group, will offer sales, service, and parts for Mullen’s commercial vehicle lineup, which includes Class 1-3 cargo vans and cab chassis offerings, as well as Bollinger Motors Class 4-6 chassis products. Deliveries for the order are set to commence in the first quarter of 2023. The entire commercial vehicle lineup will be manufactured at Mullen’s Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Center (AMEC) in Tunica, Mississippi.

Mullen CEO David Michery praised the Randy Marion Automotive team for its alignment with Mullen’s Class 1 EV plan. He said it is “well positioned to help us capitalize on our first mover advantage in the commercial EV segments.” Randy Marion, CEO and founder of the Randy Marion Automotive Group, said that there is “significant pent-up customer demand” for Mullen’s commercial portfolio and that he has “many customers looking at [him] to find the product for their companies.”
